Observations: DARC via Rohrbach-Waal and Woofferton
DARC's first regular transmission from Woofferton, England
It takes an indoor loop antenna and a Sangean ATS-909x to get decent reception of Deutscher-Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC) on their frequency of 6070 kHz here in NW Germany. Reception on two remote SDRs in Belgium and the Netherlands respectively is also poor. 6070 kHz is the frequency from Rohrbach in Germany’s south.
9670 kHz from Woofferton is much better, SINPO 44433 on a Spacemaster XF-900 with its built-in telescopic antenna.
Also, 6070 kHz trail the Woofferton broadcast on 9670 kHz by thirty seconds.
Today is DARC’s first transmission via Woofferton, after the closure of the Moosbrunn site in Austria. Seems to be a off to a good start.
